God Knows What He's Doing
I Peter 4:12&13 "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy."
In a world of chaotic thinking and chaotic actions, it's good to know that somebody knows what they are doing!
Many over the past few weeks have been wondering what America is going to do collectively. And many have wondered what Americans are going do individually in dealing with the horrific events of September 11.
Since we are limited in our abilities to do anything, we ought to be focusing on turning it over to the Lord because He’s the only one that has infinite wisdom and knowledge to handle situations of such magnitude. Since He sees the end from the beginning, we need to pray for Him to step in America’s dilemma. You see, God knows what He's doing every time...all the time!
Sometimes we may find ourselves going through some things in this life that we don't understand. We ponder why we are where we are and why we are going through what we are going through, but the Lord has a reason, and His reason is worthwhile! His reason is for our benefit! His reason is for our good!
The Lord could have kept Daniel from the lion's den, but He didn't; He let him be placed in the lion's den and then delivered him out! The Lord could have kept the Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah from the fiery furnace, but He didn't; He let them be thrown into the fiery furnace and then delivered them out!
You see, the Lord may let us go through some things, just so He can show us His power of deliverance! And not only show that to us, but to those around us that know what we're going through! And sometimes the Lord keeps us from some things to show us His power of protection. Just remember, I Corinthians 10:13 "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it]."
So no matter what you are facing, hang on to God, for He is the One that is going to make the way of escape for you to get out of your situation!
