12th Anniversary Service
Our 12th Anniversary Service was a great success! We had Pastor B.D. Puckett as our guest speaker and he was truly led of the Lord as we experienced a powerful sermon with a powerful move of the Lord.
We shredded all the prayer requests that have been placed in the prayer request box over the past years. And as a surprise announcement, Pastor McKinney announced that the property that the church purchased last year has been paid in full. The Trustees and Board of Directors shredded the Promissary Note on the land during the service. Pastor McKinney announced that the next thing on our expansion agenda is to expand the dining room area and upstairs by 40 feet, giving us a lot of more dining area and extra Sunday School Rooms and offices. Pastor McKinney also announced that after the dining area expansion, we would be concentrating on the buidling of a Fellowship Hall that would be used for weddings/baby showers, children's church, and youth service. And then another building project to come is a new sanctuary in the center of the property.
We started a new format of the service during our anniversary service. Now we have a Praise Team who leads the singing. We also have prayer request forms to be filled out and placed in the offering plate instead of taking individual requests. This aids in helping all prayer requests get the prayer needed, because sometimes, prayer requests are not heard when spoken out in the sanctuary. The prayer requests will be gathered from the offering plate, given to our media specialist and then placed upon the monitors for all to see who needs prayer.
We had one of our largest Sunday Morning crowds during this year's anniversary service. We appreciate all of the visitors, home folks, and Bro. and Sis. Puckett who helped make this anniversary service a memorable one. Thanks to all who cooked or bought food for the picnic. Thanks to all of the webcast saints who watch on a regular basis.
