During the winter months, we have a few ways of informing folks of service cancellations.
1. Answering Machine at Church
2. Website
3. Emails
4. Twitter
5. Social Networking
And of coruse our rule of thumb is, if there is no school in Pike County, KY, then there is no service that night. But in the winter months, you do have times when it is too snowy to have Sunday School, and ice forms in the evening hours, so we have started a new Snow Schedule which is a 2pm Service. That way, we can give t…

I just got off of the phone with AEP and they have informed me that Jamboree Kentucky still has over 100 customers still without power and that the scheduled time of complete power restoration is not due until December 28th at midnight. Since the Church is located in this service area and is still without electricity, we will not be having Sunday Evening Service on Sunday, December 27th. I would encourage all to go to the church's website and watch one of the pre-recorded videos of a service you…

Exodus 12:1&2 "And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you."
Israel had been in bondage in Egypt but they were about to be severed from Egypt's grip! Their past was going to be just that-- the past, and they were about to enter into a new phase of their lives. They were going to march out of Egypt and it’s influences and march into the miraculous! On the other side o…

Matthew 2:1-2 “ Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.”
When the wise men came from the east, they were in search of a young child. The child they were searching for was no ordinary child, in fact He was a King—King of the Jews!
What brought these wise men to the place where Jesus was?…

Luke 2:1-7 "And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. ([And] this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great wit…

John 5:39-40 “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.”
Many only view Jesus as just another child. Their concept of Him only deals with the natural and therefore they can only accept His humanity.
Some accept Jesus as only a great man ranking with John the Baptist or other prophets of old. But was Jesus just a man or is He more?
Jesus did not leave a blank page for man to try to…

Your Labor!
I Corinthians 15:58 "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."
Webster’s Dictionary defines labor as to exert one’s physical or mental efforts especially when difficult or compulsory. Webster’s als…

We had a powerful weekend in Yellowbud, Ohio, just outside of Chillicothe, Ohio. The Lord moved in a mighty way each service! Elder Frank Hall, who is 89, and still pastoring, shouted, leaped, and praised the Lord! What an inspiration to my generation! Many folks were touched as they worshipped and praised the Lord. Many went to the altar and experienced life changing stuff! I told the folks at Yellowbud, that the best is yet to come, that there are still more victories, more healings, and more…

I had the honor of conducting the Christian Memorial Dinner at USP Big Sandy located at Inez, Kentucky this year. The Lord began to move in a mighty way as the Chapel was filled with praise and worship. Many came forward for prayer, others desired to pray, and then after the service, we had a great meal together. Keep praying for the men and staff in Big Sandy, the Lord is doing some good stuff there.

Our 12th Anniversary Service was a great success! We had Pastor B.D. Puckett as our guest speaker and he was truly led of the Lord as we experienced a powerful sermon with a powerful move of the Lord.
We shredded all the prayer requests that have been placed in the prayer request box over the past years. And as a surprise announcement, Pastor McKinney announced that the property that the church purchased last year has been paid in full. The Trustees and Board of Directors shredded the Promissar…

II Cor. 3:17 "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."
On July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was adopted. This document was the written statement concerning the 13 original colonies' act of independence from the British Crown. It was a declaration of total freedom from the rule of Great Britain. This was the beginning of freedom in the United States as we know it today. Through the years, many have given their lives so that we could retain…

God Knows What He's Doing
I Peter 4:12&13 "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy."
In a world of chaotic thinking and chaotic actions, it's good to know that somebody knows what they are doing!
Many over the past few weeks have been wondering what America is g…

The Youth had a camp out on June 26, 2009. Camp Cornerstone was filled with laughter, screams, and the smell of roasted marshmellows. All the kids in attendance had a good time as Bro. Adam Gross and the youth service staff supervised the event. This was a record setting attendance for Camp Cornerstone. We look for the Youth Service to grow as a result of reaching out to the youth of our community.

We had a great Father's Day Celebration Service on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church. We had a great turn out with several visitors in attendance. The Presence of the Lord was tremendous as we praised and worshipped Him. Bro. Adam Gross led us in worship with the song entitled "Your Name", and Bro. James Downey led us into praise while singing "Leaning On The Everlasting Arms". Then Pastor McKinney preached an anointed and motivating message entitled "Men After God's Own Heart".…
